1-C The Bunch of Fools

June 14, 1995. It was the year of the pig. Forty six (46) students from different high schools of the Philippines met in room 205-2nd floor, College of Physical Therapy/Administration Building, University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center, Aurora Blvd., Quezon City for the school year 1995-1996. It was the first day of school and these 46 teenagers don't even know each other yet but are already very noisy. The first subject was 'General Psychology' under Mrs. de Guia. "1-C" is the first name given to this class because we are in our first year and section C. We are a group of average students at the beginning but mind you by the end of the year, five (5) students in the Dean's List are from this class. We are loud and proud of course. Since the day we met, we all became friends. We eat together in a nearby canteen, or stroll in the mall still as a whole though in little groups. There is a special bond growing in each one of us as the college life is challenging us. We have created a great friendship that we help each other in all subject matter. There is less competition but more on studying together and having fun together. We got the second name "The Bunch of Fools" from our computer teacher. He was fed up by the clever students' noise. He tried to carry his desk, but it was too heavy so instead he hit the desk with his hand, shouted "You bunch of fools!", and went out of the room slamming the door. (^_^)

We have been together in our special parties, field trips, and reunions. We are bonded by the different 'teasing' we playfully throw. We are happy people. As the years go by, some of us can't and didn't make it to finish the course. Some stayed and others left and changed their course. We remained friends. As I am writing this now, we are already friends for more or less 14 years. Next year, 2010 is the 15th year anniversary. We have lots of stories but I will put them in separate events. I miss you guys! Hope to see you on June 2010.
